Gunjan Saxena Story

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is an upcoming Indian 2020 Hindi biopic film directed by Sharan Sharma and produced under Dharma Productions and Zee Studios. The film features Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role of Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena, the first female and Indian woman airforce pilot in combat along with Srividya Rajan. It also features Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi in supporting roles.
The film was announced on 26 December 2018 as Kapoor shared the first look. Principal photography commenced on 20 February 2019 and was wrapped up in October; it was extensively filmed across Lucknow. The film is scheduled to be theatrically released on 24 April 2020.

In 1999, India's first woman combat aviator went all guns blazing into the guts of the combat zone in Kargil and rescued injured soldiers in an unarmed helicopter, this is her story - Flight Lieutenant Gunjan Saxena. At a really young age Gunjan discovered her passion for flying. This film follows her journey as she chases her dream with focus and determination and deals with the obstacles and challenges that were thrown her way. As a neighborhood of the primary batch of female Indian Air Force pilots, she was constantly tested and had to repeatedly prove her flying skills and physical toughness. However, together with her undying spirit and therefore the support and guidance of her family, she was ready to overcome all odds and eventually rise above them to measure her dream and serve her nation. Janhavi played the role of gunjan Saxena, Pankaj Tripathi plays the of her Father and Angad Bedi plays the role of her brother.

This is most awaited movie of the 2020 and filming began on 20 February 2019. The film shooting completed on October 2019. The film's music was composed by Rachita Arora and Tanishk Bagchi. The film was initially slated to be theatrically released in India on 13 March 2020, but was then pushed to 24 April 2020.
